GPA and CGPA Calculator
Add your courses with their credit hours and grades to find your semester GPA. Add your previous CGPA and credit hours to get your updated cumulative CGPA. It uses the common 4.0 grading scale.
Optional: your previous result, for cumulative CGPA
Results are shown to two decimal places. Grade points differ between universities, so check your own university’s grading policy.
How it works
Each grade is worth a number of grade points. Multiply the grade points by the course’s credit hours to get its quality points. Add up all the quality points and divide by the total credit hours. That is your GPA. For CGPA, your earlier quality points are combined with the new ones and divided by all your credit hours so far.
Formulas
- GPA = total quality points ÷ total credit hours, where quality points = credit hours × grade points.
- CGPA = (previous CGPA × previous credit hours + new quality points) ÷ (previous credit hours + new credit hours)
