Your debts
Values are in the same currency you enter, for example PKR. This is a calculation aid, not a religious ruling. Ask a qualified scholar about your own situation.
How it works
The calculator adds your zakatable assets, subtracts debts that are due now, and compares the result with the Nisab value. The Nisab value is the number of tola in the standard you chose multiplied by the price you enter. If your net wealth is at or above the Nisab, Zakat is 2.5% of your net wealth.
Formula
- Net wealth = total zakatable assets − debts due now
- Nisab value = 52.5 × silver price per tola, or 7.5 × gold price per tola
- Zakat due = net wealth × 2.5%, only if net wealth is at or above the Nisab
Steps to use it
- Choose silver or gold as your Nisab standard and enter today’s price per tola.
- Enter your assets in each box that applies to you.
- Enter the debts you owe that are due now.
- Press Calculate Zakat.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Nisab?
It is the minimum wealth at which Zakat becomes due. The standard is 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver. Many people in Pakistan use the silver standard because its value is lower, so more people are counted. Ask a scholar which applies to you.
Does the wealth have to be held for a year?
Zakat is due when wealth at or above the Nisab has been held for a full lunar year. This calculator does not track dates, so make sure that condition applies to you.
What is not counted?
Items for personal use, such as the home you live in, a car for your own use, furniture and everyday belongings, are generally not counted. Gold, silver, cash, trade goods and investments are.
How is this different from the bank deduction?
The federal government announces a separate Nisab each year for Zakat deducted from bank accounts. For Ramadan 2026 that figure was Rs 503,529, a big rise from the year before. It applies to automatic deduction from accounts, so check the latest announcement, because it changes every year. Your own Zakat depends on all your wealth and on the standard you follow.
Is this an official or religious ruling?
No. It is a calculation tool. See our Terms and Disclaimer and How We Test pages.
